Indonesia-Yordania Cooperation To Develop Drones, Defense Minister Sjafrie: For Manufacturing Join

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Manhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin ensured that Indonesia through PT Pindad collaborated with the Jordanian defense industry, Deep Element, to develop drones.

"Deep Element itu adalah sebuah industri pertahanan yang merupakan sangat maju, ini akan bekerja sama dengan Pindad untuk join manufacturing," kata Sjafrie usai bertemu dengan Kepala Staf Gabungan Angkatan Bersawatan Major General Pilot Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaity di kantor Kementerian Pertahanan, Jakarta Pusat, Jumat, disitat Antara.

Sjafrie explained that the collaboration was part of a series of military cooperation established between Indonesia and Jordan in the field of strengthening defense technology.

According to Sjafrie, Deep Elements has advantages in designing intai or combat drone technology.

It is hoped that the various technologies Sjafrie can be studied by domestic companies as well as the TNI so that domestic defense industry technology can also increase.

"We have also sent us soldiers there, and tomorrow we will see the results of the training cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia," said Sjafrie.

However, Sjafrie did not explain in detail the cooperation in developing the drone technology.

He also did not explain in detail what type of drone will be done by Deep Element and PT Pindad.

With this collaboration, Sjafrie hopes that the bilateral and military relations that have been established between Indonesia and Jordan can be well established.
