JAKARTA - The Bima Regency Government (Pemkab) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has officially declared an emergency response status for a hydrometeorological natural disaster for 14 days, starting from 8-21 November 2025.
In an official statement received by ANTARA in Bima, Thursday, this step was taken following the increasing potential for floods, landslides and extreme weather, which hit a number of areas in Bima Regency since early November.
The determination of the emergency response status is contained in the Bima Regent's Decree Number 188.45/370/07.04 of 2025, which was signed by Bima Regent Ady Mahyudi dated November 8, 2025.
The decision stated that there were 10 sub-districts that were directly affected or had a high potential for disasters due to extreme weather, namely Madapangga, Sanggar, Lambitu, Langgudu, Wawo, Soromandi, Parado, Palibelo, Woha, Bolo, and Wera sub-districts.
"This determination was made after the results of the field rapid assessment showed that there was a serious threat to people's lives and livelihoods in the 10 regions," said the Regent's decision consideration.
The decision also paid attention to the early warning of extreme weather from the BMKG Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Station which was issued on November 4-11, 2025 and the results of a disaster emergency response coordination meeting with all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) on November 10, 2025.
During the emergency response period, all regional government resources were deployed to accelerate the handling of the impact of disasters in the field.
"All costs incurred in the implementation of emergency activities will be borne by the APBD of Bima Regency for Fiscal Year 2025, APBN, and Ready Funds for Using BNPB RI," he said.
