62 Years Old Elderly Disappeared While Gardening In Kolut Sultra Found By SAR Team

The joint SAR team managed to find an elderly person who was safe after reported missing while gardening in Koreha Village, Ngapa District, North Kolaka Regency (Korut), Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).

Head of Basarnas Kendari Amiruddin said the victim and Herman, 62) were found about 4.9 kilometers east of the estimated location last seen by local residents at 06.45 WITA.

"We received information from a team in the field, which reported that the victim was found safe, and then immediately evacuated to the victim's house," he said when contacted in Kendari, Friday, in Antara.

He said, with the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was declared complete and closed.

"All elements involved in the search are returned to their respective units," he said.

The elements involved in the search included the Kendari Basarnas Ops Staff, Kolaka SAR Post, Babinsa Koreha Village, North Kolaka BPBD, Koreha Village Bhabinkamtibmas, Ngapa Police, surrounding communities, and the families of the victims.

The disappearance of the victim began when local residents saw him walking into his garden, on Monday 3 November at around 20.00 WITA. When tomorrow, at around 14.20 WITA, the victim was found not to have returned to his house, so the victim's child decided to look for the victim's whereabouts in the garden.

"When looking for what was found, only the victim's motorbike, at that time the search was carried out by the family and the surrounding community, but the victim was never found," said Amiruddin.
