Members Of The DKI Jakarta DPRD Get A House Allowance Of IDR 78 Million, Set Since Anies Jabat Governor

JAKARTA - The housing allowances for DPR RI members who have experienced an increase have been in the spotlight to public criticism in recent times. Finally, the DPR stopped the member housing allowance as of August 30.

Before the housing allowance for Senayan parliament members was stopped, the Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar, revealed that the amount of housing allowances of IDR 50 million per month was determined based on a study by looking at housing allowances which were also received by 106 members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD every month.

Then, what is the value of housing allowances for DKI Jakarta DPRD members?

The amount of housing allowance for the leadership and members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD is contained in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 415 of 2022. This gubernatorial decree was signed by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

In Kepgub 415/2022, it is stipulated that the housing allowance for the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD is IDR 78.8 million per month, including taxes.

Meanwhile, the housing allowance for DKI Jakarta DPRD members is IDR 70.4 million, including taxes every month.

"The necessary costs for providing housing allowances for Pimpman and members of the Regional People's Representative Council for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta are borne by the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget through the Budget Implementation Document of the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta," wrote the Governor's Decree 415/2022 quoted on Thursday, September 4.

Supervision and control of the use of housing allowances is carried out by the Secretariat of the DKI Jakarta DPRD by verifying the truth of expenses accountability.

"Management of the housing allowance budget for leaders and members of the Regional People's Representative Council of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta is carried out in an accountable manner in accordance with regional financial management regulations and for each expenditure a standard operating procedure is set by the head of regional apparatus," explained the governor's decree.

It is known, the amount of housing allowances for DKI Jakarta DPRD members has increased since 2022.

Previously, the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD received an allowance of Rp. 70 million per month, while members of the DKI DPRD amounted to Rp. 60 million per month including taxes.

This amount is stipulated in DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 153 of 2017 concerning DPRD Expenditures signed by former DKI Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat.
