The National Police Will Deploy 7,000 Security Personnel For The Series Of Ceremonys For The 80th Independence Day Of The Republic Of Indonesia

The National Police deployed as many as 7,000 personnel related to securing the series of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

Kapspus and Kakorlantas Polri Agus Suryonugroho said the thousands of personnel were a combination of the Polda Metro Jaya and Polri Headquarters.

"We have prepared nearly 7,000 personnel, including reserve personnel," Agus told reporters, Thursday, August 14.

Thousands of joint personnel were deployed at various points that had been mapped, such as the National Monument (Monas) to the State Palace.

In addition, thousands of personnel were also deployed during a series of ceremonies for the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia which began from 15 to 17 August 2025.

"Activities at the location of activities, activities on the route, including the VVIP route, guest lines, including people's parties, at Monas, in Thamrin, Sudirman and the Palace," he said.

Not only the deployment of personnel, but later traffic engineering will also be implemented. However, it is situational, which means that it will only be implemented if conditions are widened and deemed necessary.

The implementation of traffic engineering is because it is predicted that the movement of people will increase dramatically, especially at certain points.

"It is estimated that the presence of the community is quite a lot, meaning that the movement of people will increase," said Agus.
