Two Brawlers Killed 1 Person In Cibubur Arrested, 1 PERSON Surrendered

Police arrested two perpetrators of a brawl that resulted in the death of one person on Jalan Taruna Jaya, Cibubur Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta on Saturday, July 12, 2025, early in the morning.

"We have secured two perpetrators related to the brawl in Ciracas and have been detained," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly at the Cipayung Police Headquarters, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The two people, namely JF (20) acted as perpetrators who slashed the victim who died MI (18) during a brawl, while AH (17) was the driving force or admin of the group.

"So JF is the perpetrator who slashed the victim to death, while AH is the driving force, he is the group admin who invites him to gather for a brawl," said Nicolas.

He explained that AH was arrested in the Ciracas area not far from the location of the brawl on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 17.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the perpetrators of the JF stabbing surrendered to the East Jakarta Metro Police.

"So, we conducted an investigation and we have identified the perpetrator. Then we gave chase and finally the family handed over the stabbing perpetrator to the police," explained Nicolas.

The brawl went viral on Instagram social media. A number of teenagers are seen carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle. They ride motorbikes slowly, then attack other groups. In the video narration, it is stated that this brawl involving a group of teenagers is from Kranggan, Bekasi and a group from one of the alleys on Jalan Taruna Jaya.

"The brawl on Jalan Taruna Jaya Cibubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta, one person died, according to information on the brawl between Kranggan's child and the child of one of the alleys on Jalan Taruna Jaya," wrote the video caption.

It was also stated that the victims who died were Cibubur residents who joined the youth group from Kranggan.

"One person died who was suspected of being a child in the Rukun Cibubur alley (joining Kranggan's child during the brawl). It happened on Saturday at 03:35 WIB," continued the video caption.
