JAKARTA - The leader of the Islamic OKP PP PERISAI demanded that the KPK immediately examine all DPD RI leaders regarding the alleged corruption case of the DPD RI's illegal recess budget. The claim was reiterated by the General Chairperson of PP PERISAI, Chandra Halim in Jakarta, Monday, March 17.

"We reiterate our demands that the KPK immediately arrest the Chairman of the DPD RI and all the leaders of the DPD RI, because of an unlawful act of carrying out illegal recesses that cost the state finances tens of billions of rupiah." Chandra said in a statement to the media, quoted on Tuesday, March 19.

Chandra said, new facts and evidence continue to appear in the media over cases of illegal recesses or often called excess recesses by members of the DPD RI.

"The fact is that there are many on social media, one of which is revealed by DPD RI member La Nyalla Mattalitti on the Justice Forum Podcast. The DPD RI leadership took the initiative to carry out the recess twice even though it violated the rules. Including asking to unblock the budget." said Chandra.

He continued, twice the leadership of the DPD RI sent a letter requesting the opening of the budget blocking and the two requests were rejected strictly by the Minister of Finance. This is clearly a violation of the law that cannot be tolerated.

Chandra added that from the data he has Tamsil Linrung, including the leadership of the DPD RI, which is suspected to be the most active in encouraging the implementation of illegal recesses.

"The DPD RI leadership continues to carry out recesses twice, where it should not be implemented. This is clearly an act against the law that is clear and corruption is the most real and brutal," he explained.
