Nurul Arifin: Dark Indonesia Demonstration Becomes Alert

JAKARTA - Member of Commission I DPR from the Golkar faction, Nurul Arifin responded to the demonstration titled Dark Indonesia held by the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board Alliance (BEM SI) in the Monas Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta today, Thursday, February 20, afternoon.

This action is a continuation of the previous action in the Parung Kuda Monas area, Central Jakarta on Monday, February 16.

Nurul Arifin appreciated the demonstration which is a form of aspiration and unrest channel that cannot be conveyed directly. He considered that the demonstration was a warning so that the public and government would not go too far.

"I think this is good, to then make alerts alert. This means that we really, oh this is what we want, so don't let us go too far, both in government and society in carrying out this democratic system," said Nurul Arifin at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

"So we listen to each other and then also respect each other," he continued.

Nevertheless, Nurul Arifin appealed to demonstrators to be careful and not to take anarchic actions throughout the implementation of demonstrations.

"I think there is nothing wrong with the demonstration, it's only natural, we also don't be afraid, don't be afraid to share aspirations, but do it in constructive ways, not then anarchic because if it reaches anarchism it not only destroys a handful but also this country. This means that political stability has an impact on economic stability," concluded the Deputy Golkar.
