JAKARTA - The Law Enforcement Task Force of the Traffic Directorate of the West Sulawesi Police (Sulbar) in the implementation of the Marano 2025 Safety Operation has taken action against 13 traffic violators.

Of the 13 traffic violators who were prosecuted, said Wahid Kurniawan, nine were given direct action sanctions related to inappropriate driving licenses (SIM), and four were related to incomplete Vehicle Registration Certificates (STNK).
Dirlantas said that the Marano Safety Operation, which was carried out from February 10 to 23, 2025, was aimed at taking action against traffic violations that could potentially cause traffic accidents.
In this activity, the police focused on taking action on priority violations, including overloaded vehicles and excess size (ODOL) as well as vehicles that did not use a Motorized Vehicle Number Sign (TNKB) or number plates.
Then, vehicles that use Brong exhaust or silau lights and vehicles carrying passengers without permission or illegal travel.
"Another target is that trucks or buses that use telolet horns and drivers who do not use SNI helmets are also the main focus of this operation," explained Wahid Kurniawan.
During the implementation of the Marano Safety Operation, he added, the police took firm but still humane action against traffic violators.
"The action is carried out in the form of a ticket and the entire process of activities is carried out safely and under control," said Wahid Kurniawan.
