The Search For Crew Members In The Waters Of Tanjung Priok Is Constrained By Bad Weather

The joint SAR team is still searching for Sugeng Riyadi (63), a crew member of TB Ansanus who drowned around the outfall waters of block 3 of PLTGU Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, due to the impact of high waves.

"The victim has not been found, the search is still ongoing today," said Public Relations of the Jakarta SAR Office, Ramli Prasetyo to VOI, Sunday, February 9.

However, the problem with searching for victims is influenced by bad weather factors in the North Jakarta area.

"The weather is still bad. The conditions are strong winds and high waves. While still waiting for good weather to continue the evacuation of victims," he said.

In addition, the Jakarta SAR Office said that the sinking ship would be planned for today. However, the joint SAR team is still holding a meeting related to the evacuation.

"Today's plan is that the ship that sank will be lifted. It will be closed this morning, because there is a plan for an appointment, maybe the element will increase later when the results of the meeting," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the TB Ansanus ship had an accident due to the impact of waves and high waves around the outfall waters of block 3 of the Tanjung Priok PLTGU, North Jakarta.

The ship was swayed until it finally capsized in the waters. Then, a crew member (ABK) named Sugeng Riyadi (63) was thrown and disappeared allegedly drowned.

After receiving the report, the joint SAR team again carried out an effort to search for one of Ansanus' crew members.

The search has been carried out since Saturday, February 8. The search for victims was carried out by the joint SAR team by deploying rubber boats and RIB Jakarta around the scene. However, as of Monday, February 10, the victim has not been found.
