Agustiani Tio Feels Intimidated When Examined By KPK Regarding Hasto Case

JAKARTA - Former convict Agustiani Tio Fridelina was intimidated when questioned by the KPK regarding the case of the determination of the suspect PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

"Well, it's natural that I feel intimidated because suddenly there is a summons to be asked as a witness and that's a witness. Because what I know is yesterday Harun Masiku," Agustiani said in a pretrial lawsuit hearing for Hasto at the South Jakarta District Court, Antara, Friday, February 7.

Former convict of the interim replacement bribery (PAW) case Harun Masiku, Agustiani was present as an expert witness in the legal trial whether Hasto Kristiyanto was named a suspect.

Initially, Hasto's team of lawyers asked if Agustiani received intimidation from KPK investigators.

Then, Agustiani explained that he had actually been found guilty in the alleged bribery case and had undergone a legal process.

In fact, he also had to report to the Correctional Center (Bapas) while traveling, to take pictures to report his whereabouts to be reported because he wanted to make up for his past mistakes.

However, he said, when he received a summons from the KPK, he again felt intimidated because he should have been able to live a good life after being released from detention.

"Well, this summons, especially so," he said.

He further revealed that the intimidation was felt when asked for information by the KPK regarding Hasto.

He felt that their statement seemed to threaten him to put himself back in prison.

KPK investigators, he explained, seemed to force him to answer questions that were not understood by him. Moreover, the investigator also had time to hit the table.

"Bu Tio knows that article 21, Mrs. Tio, I can apply article 21, so I have said, I am currently lillahi ta'ala, if I do enter again it means that Allah is destined to let me in again, then he comes out while beating the table," he explained.

KPK investigators on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, named two new suspects in the series of Harun Masiku cases, namely PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto (HK) and advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah (DTI).

Previously, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto revealed that HK regulates and controls DTI to lobby KPU member Wahyu Setiawan in order to appoint Harun Masiku as a candidate for elected DPR RI member from the South Sumatra (Sumsel) I electoral district.

HK is also suspected of regulating and controlling DTI to actively take and deliver bribes to be handed over to Wahyu Setiawan through Agustiani Tio Fridelina.
