JAKARTA - Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas said the Indonesian government would diplomacy with the Singapore government regarding Paulus Tannos' lawsuit at the Singapore Court.

Paulus Tannos alias Thian Po Tjhin is a fugitive in the corruption case of the electronic identity card procurement project (e-KTP) which is currently being temporarily detained or provisional arrest in Changi Prison.

"KPK (Komimi Pemberantasan Korupsi), kepolisian, kejaksaan, dan Kementerian Luar Negeri akan melakukan diplomasi terkait hal itu," kata Supratman di Kantor Kementerian Hukum, Jakarta, Jumat 31 Januari, disitat Antara.

However, he stated that the Indonesian government could not interfere in the affairs of the Singapore Court.

The Minister of Law and Human Rights emphasized that the Indonesian government, especially the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, will ensure that the process of completing the document for the application for the extradition of Paulus Tannos will be completed before March 3, 2025.

"All the documents needed in order to carry out the extradition as soon as possible we can finish it," he said.

However, when asked by reporters about documents that were still not completed, he said that the question was technical.

However, he stated that the completion of the extradition document would be completed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as soon as possible.
