JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission IV of the House of Representatives, Siti Hediati Hariyadi alias Titiek Soeharto, responded to the proposal to form a special committee (pansus) to investigate the mysterious 30-kilometer sea fence in Tangerang waters.

The proposal was conveyed by a member of Commission IV of the DPR from the PKS faction, Riyono in the interruption of the plenary meeting which was held today.

According to Titiek, his party will see developments regarding the problem of sea fencing not far from the location of PSN PIK 2. Moreover, 263 building use rights (HGU) certificates were found belonging to a number of companies.

"We'll see what the progress will be," said Titiek, Tuesday, January 21.

Titiek said Commission IV of the DPR has scheduled a summons for the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22. His party, he said, would ask about the demolition of the sea fence which was previously unfortunate by the KKP.

Commission IV of the DPR, continued Titiek, will also make visits to the location of the fence. The deputy chairman of the Gerindra Board of Trustees was surprised that a 30 kilometer long sea fence could be built without any restrictions from the authorities.

"Tomorrow we meet the ministry, and the day after tomorrow we want to visit the field," said Titiek.

"The important thing is (the marine fence problem) has been a long time, it's been a month, I can't get it (who owns it). Who makes 30 kilometers, you know it's the same as Separoh (toll) Jagorawi and that fence is on the sea, not on land, it's hard to make it," concluded President Suharto's daughter.
