KPK Investigates Alleged Money Flow to Gus Miftah that Emerged in the DJKA Bribery Case Hearing

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate allegations of money flows to Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman or Gus Miftah in the project bribery case in the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). Facts that emerge in the trial will be analyzed to determine the possibility of developing the case.

"Of course, it is also to explain that the flow of money related to procurement projects in DJKA does not stop at the main perpetrators. But there are also allegations that flow to other parties," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 14.

Budi said investigators would examine all the evidence that emerged at the trial. In addition, the KPK will also investigate the elements of unlawful acts, including the motives, initiatives, and purposes of giving money to the parties whose names were mentioned at the trial.

"This will be further investigated because every fact of the trial will be analyzed by the JPU. As well, it will be enriched by the investigators, whether the possibility is open to development or what it is like," he said.

Gus Miftah is said to have received money in the continuation of the trial for the alleged corruption of the DJKA project with the defendant, the non-active Pati Regent Sudewo at the Semarang Corruption Court, Monday, July 13, 2026.

This fact came to light when the KPK Public Prosecutor Greafik Loserte read and confirmed the contents of the Investigation Report (BAP) to witness Dheky Martin, the former Commitment Maker Official (PPK) of the JGSS Phase 1 project, who had been convicted in the case.

During the trial, Greafik confirmed the identity of the recipient of the money listed in the BAP, including the name of Gus Miftah.

"This is Gus Miftah who was busy yesterday because of the ice seller?" asked Greafik.

"Yes," replied Dheky.

Greafik then confirmed the reason for him to clarify the identity in front of the panel of judges.

"So that people and the media know, Gus Miftah whose hair is overgrown can get money from Bapak, from the project money," said Greafik at the trial.

Sudewo was previously charged with receiving bribes and gratuities in a project at the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA with a total of Rp3.8 billion in his capacity as a former member of Commission V of the DPR.

Then, he was also charged with receiving Rp2.4 billion in the process of filling village apparatus positions in the district which occurred in the period 2025 to 2026.
