Medan Polrestabes Failed Circulation Of 46 Kilograms Of Dried Marijuana

The Medan City Police (Polrestabes) thwarted the circulation of 46 kilograms of dried marijuana which is planned to be circulated in the city of Medan, North Sumatra.

"In this disclosure, we have arrested five people suspected of being involved in the cannabis trafficking network," said Deputy Head of Drugs at the Medan Polrestabes AKP Arham Gusdiar as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 17.

The five suspects in the dried marijuana dealer, he continued, were each with the initials MA (21), R (18), SZAP (21), PYA (26), and Ml (23).

"Of the five suspects, there are two of them have the status of university students in Medan City, namely perpetrators MA and R," he said.

Arham said that the disclosure of dried marijuana was carried out by his party at boarding houses, Jalan Setia Jadi, East Medan District, Medan City on Friday (10/1).

"In one boarding house, officers arrested four men, namely MA, R, SZAP, and PYA and confiscated 46 kilograms of dried marijuana as evidence," he said.

Meanwhile, the MI suspect, he explained, was arrested from the results of developments by police officers, on Jalan Tangkul II, Medan Tembung District, Medan City, Saturday (11/1).

From the results of the interrogation, his party said the four suspects claimed to have received the dried marijuana from Aceh Province.

For the purchase of dried marijuana, it started with an order from MI to the Supreme Court as much as 20 kilograms by giving a panjar of Rp. 16 million.

Meanwhile, MA and R admitted to buying the marijuana from a man with the initials B, in Suka Makmue City, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh.

When the two bought, they were accompanied by SZAP and PYA. "So the task of SZAP and PYA is to guard the car driven by MA and R. If there is a raid, both of them tell MA and R," explained Arham.

Meanwhile, the suspect MI ordered the dried marijuana from the Supreme Court to be handed over to a man with the initials Z.

"So ordering this item is actually Z, which we are still hunting for. Z ordered MI and MI ordered the MA," he said.

"As a result of the actions of the perpetrators being charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Subs Article 111 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a maximum sentence of life imprisonment or the death penalty," said Arham.
