BBMKG Urges Residents To Beware Of Potential Strong Winds During The World Water Forum In Bali

JAKARTA - The Denpasar Region III Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BBMKG) asked the public to be aware of the potential for strong winds which are estimated to reach 25 knots or about 46 kilometers per hour during the implementation of the 10th World Water Forum in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali.

"Be aware of the potential for an increase in wind speed to reach 25 knots in the southern part of Bali," said Head of BBMKG Region III, Cahyo Nugroho, Sunday, May 19.

The weather forecast is valid from 19 to 21 May 2024, with the wind blowing from east-southeast.

Meanwhile, the agenda for the opening of the World Water Forum 10 starts on Monday, May 20, at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) building for supporting locations, both of which are located in South Kuta District, Badung Regency.

Prior to the opening of the 10th WWF, an important agenda was planned to be held this Sunday, namely welcoming and dinner in an outdoor area at a cultural tourist attraction, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Jimbaran, South Kuta District, Badung Regency.

Denpasar BBMKG recorded the weather in the South Kuta area on May 19 at 08.00 WITA to 08.00 WITA, on May 20 it is estimated that it will be cloudy with temperatures of 26-32 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour and humidity levels reaching 60-90 percent.

Meanwhile, in the Nusa Dua area on May 20, starting at 08.00 WITA to 08.00 WITA on May 21, it is estimated that the weather will be cloudy and cloudy with temperatures estimated at 28-31 degrees Celsius and humidity levels reaching 80 percent.

Denpasar BBMKG noted that the weather conditions were influenced by sea level temperatures around Bali, generally ranging from 26-31 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the 10th World Water Forum took place on May 18-25, 2024, which was attended by around 46 thousand participants from around the world.
