PKS Guards The Legal Process Related To The Hand-Arrest Operation Of South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah

MAKASSAR - The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) of South Sulawesi is committed to overseeing the legal process for the arrest of South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Chairman of the DPW PKS South Sulawesi Amri Arsyad said that his party, as the bearing party, has not discussed various possibilities, especially regarding preparing a name for a replacement for the Governor of South Sulawesi.

"We prioritize guarding the legal process so that it runs well", he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 27.

His party also chose to wait for Nurdin Abdullah's legal process at the KPK.

"We have read the news related to this matter, for us, it is best to fully hand over the legal process to the authorities", he said.

"We certainly will continue to wish him and his family the best. I hope all processes will run well and smoothly while respecting the principle of the presumption of innocence", he continued.

The KPK arrested the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah on Saturday, February 27 in the early hours of the morning. The KPK secures money from the Hand-Arrest Operation/Operasi Tangkap Tangan (OTT) series in Makassar.

"It's true, on Friday (26/2) at midnight, the KPK arrested the regional head in South Sulawesi for alleged corruption", said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri.
