The East Java High Prosecutor's Office uncovered a case of alleged corruption at PT Inka Multi Solusi (IMS) in the project of procuring consumer or consumable goods. Head of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati Jatim) Mia Amiati stated that while she had named a suspect with the initials HW, who had served as Head of the Department of Procurement at the subsidiary of PT Industri Kereta Api (PT INKA). "In the period 2016 to 2017, PT IMS conducted procurement of goods by cooperating with individual goods providers with the initials NC and CV AA. In the procurement, PT IMS budgeted funds of more than Rp. 14 billion," Mia said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 6.Kajati Mia explained, based on investigations, the fact that individual goods providers with the initials NC and CV AA did not carry out the entire procurement of goods according to the contract agreement. "NC and CV AA only did a small amount of work. However, they were asked to make the entire acquisition by the head of the Ministry of Procurement, namely sister HW," he said. According to him, the Internal Supervisory Unit Team of PT INKA has also intervened to carry out an investigation. The results found an untrusted accountability document so that it is suspected to cause state losses in the procurement process. "The results of the investigative audit of the Internal Supervisory Team of PT INKA mentions that the accountability documents cannot be believed to be validity worth approximately Rp7.5 billion, which are suspected to be state financial losses," he said.

Kajati Mia said HW was named a suspect after undergoing a series of examinations at the East Java Prosecutor's Office which lasted until Tuesday night, December 5, 2023. "The suspect HW was immediately detained at the Class I Detention Center in Surabaya, the East Java Prosecutor's Office," he said. Investigators at the East Java Prosecutor's Office, Mia continued, are still investigating other parties suspected of being involved in this case. "So, it is possible that the number of suspects could increase," he said.
