Thinner Warehouse In Tangerang Detonated, 1 Person Gets Burns

TANGERANG - Thinner Warehouse, located on Tanjung Pasir Street, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency, caught fire. A total of two firefighters (Damkar) were dispatched to the scene.

The Head of Emergency and Logistics of the Tangerang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Abdul Munir, said the incident occurred on Monday, September 26, at 11.30 WIB.

"Yes, Thinner's warehouse indeed caught fire. 2 units of fire engines and 10 firefighters were deployed", Munir said when confirmed, Monday, September 26.

Munir explained that the fire incident was first discovered by a resident who heard the sound of an explosion. When checked, it turned out that there was a spark from a cable that stretched.

Furthermore, the cable was also close to a drum containing Thinner, resulting in a fire.

"The fire was caused by an electrical cable that fell which was not far from the drums which caused the fire", he said.

The fire has been successfully extinguished. However, the loss cannot be estimated.

"The fire was successfully extinguished and contained so that there was no propagation to the residents' homes", he said.

Munir also said that one employee was the victim of the fire incident.

"An employee who burned his hand was then taken by his friend using a motorbike to a clinic for treatment", he concluded.
