A Grandma Victim Of Texas Elementary School Massacre Who Was Shot In The Face Finally Out Of Hospital

JAKARTA - Celia "Sally" Gonzales (66) could be one of the key witnesses of the mass shooting incident carried out by Salvador Ramos in Uvalde City, Texas, United States on May 24. Sally was shot by Ramos in the face before she went to Robb Elementary in Uvalde.

Prior to his crazy stunts in Robb Elementary, Ramos intended to kill his grandmother too, Sally. Unmitigated, Ramos' bullet lodged in Sally's face.

After receiving intensive care, Sally was finally released from hospital, officials said Tuesday, June 28, according to NBC News.

Seriously injured, Sally called for help and was immediately taken by helicopter to the University of San Antonio Hospital. She arrived in critical condition.

"We are pleased to share the good news regarding last month's tragic shooting at Uvalde: A 66-year-old woman has been discharged," a hospital spokesperson told NBC News.

The spokesman said another victim, a 10-year-old girl, had been upgraded to good condition, which usually means the patient is stable and recovery is ongoing.

Sally reportedly had several surgeries.

"My mother was shot in the face and left to die alone in her home by her own grandson," wrote her daughter, Natalie Salazar. "By God's grace, she was able to get up off the floor and walk to a neighbor's house and ask for help."
