Police Arrest Deadly Honda City Driver Who Knocked Down 2 People On The Side Of The Road To Death

Pandeglang - Pandeglang Resort Police Traffic Unit of Banten Police conducted a traffic accident scene (TKP) that occurred in Babakan Nangka Village, Karyabuana Village, Cigeulis District, Pandeglang Regency on Saturday, October 30, at around 17.30 western Indonesia time. The seconds of the accident was caught on CCTV cameras at the scene, until they went viral on social media.

Director of Traffic of Banten Police Grand Commissioner Rudy Purnomo said that the accident began when the Honda City car driven by MZS (21) was speeding from Cibaliung towards Cigeulis. Then, continued Rudy Purnomo, the car hit a motorbike, and two people who were stopping at the shoulder of the road who was about to refuel.

"As a result of the traffic accident, the BKH motorcycle rider died at the scene, and his friend, who had gotten off the ride at that time, ASP, was injured, and was then evacuated to the Cigeulis Health Center for treatment," said Rudy Purnomo on Sunday (31 /10).

After the incident, the Pandeglang Police Traffic Unit Investigators immediately went to the crime scene and processed the crime scene, evacuated victims and evidence, and completed information from witnesses at the scene. At the same time, investigators have also arrested the driver of the Honda City car, MZS, for questioning and accountability for the incident.

"It's true, the perpetrator has been arrested and is currently being questioned by investigators from the Pandeglang Police Traffic Unit," said Rudi.

The footage of this accident has spread on social media and has received wide attention from the public. The Head of Banten Police Public Relation, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Shinto Silitonga stated that the driver of the car had been tested for urine and the results were still waiting.

"Currently investigators have taken urine samples from the perpetrators to check whether there was any influence of alcohol or drugs on the perpetrators while driving, we are still waiting for the results. In principle, law enforcement against the perpetrators will be carried out strictly," said Shinto Silitonga.
