Dismantling Of 4 Drug Networks From Myanmar, Criminal Investigation Police Arrest 19 People, 1 Killed Shot
JAKARTA - The Directorate of Narcotics Crime of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police revealed four cases of drug trafficking of methamphetamine from Myanmar. In the disclosure, the police managed to apprehend 19 suspects. One of them was shot dead.
"A total of 19 suspects have been arrested and one person died due to decisive and measured measures", said Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police, Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, to reporters, Thursday, October 21.
From the disclosure of the four cases, at least 62.9 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. All of the smuggling efforts went through the Bakauheni Port, Lampung.
"We suspect the Chinese tea packages where they are produced come from a province in Myanmar", said Krisno.

The first disclosure, said Krisno, was that his party arrested 11 suspects on September 24. They include AD, DS, RH, HY, DYZ, AC, AS, FB, S, DR, and SPI. In this case, about 3.4 kilograms or 3,450 grams of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated from the suspects
The second case involved the arrest of four suspects, among others, WMP, R, NHF, HS on 28 September. Police confiscated 29 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine disguised in cardboard.
Furthermore, the police again arrested four suspects, SN, PHS, NA, and DIS, with evidence of 20,450 grams or 20.4 kilograms. One suspect with the initials DIS was forced to take firm action.
"One of the suspects with the initials DIS was taken decisive and measured because he fought the officers and fled", said Krisno.
The last case revealed was on October 2. Where, two suspects, L alias Y alias N, and AN alias N were arrested with 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
With the disclosure and arrest of the suspects, they are threatened with imprisonment for 20 years or life. Because they are suspected of under Articles 112 and 114 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
