Desperate To Cross A Truck In The Middle Of The Road, A 13-year-old Boy Is Killed By A Hit, The Driver And Friends Of The Boy All Run Away

BEKASI - A teenager was killed when he was hit and then run over by a truck on Jalan Raya Diponegoro Street, Tambun Selatan District, Bekasi Regency. Tragically, the 13-year-old victim died because he was desperate to stop the truck for a ride.

This incident was confirmed by the Head of Traffic Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, Iptu Carmin. Carmin said that the victim's life was a teenager with the initials F, who was still very young.

"Yes, that's right, the victim died on the spot", said Carmin when confirmed by reporters, Thursday, October 7.

The incident is known to have occurred at around 13.00 WIB. Carmin said, at that time a group of teenagers suddenly stopped a truck in front of PT Sinbe Budi Sentosa.

From the available information, the teenager tried to stop a speeding truck from Cibitung towards Bekasi City.

"They wanted to ride a truck, and one of them was run over", he said.

He said it was difficult to identify the incident because the driver did not stop at the time of the incident and fled. Not only the driver, the victim's friend who stopped the truck at the time of the incident also ran away after seeing F run over by a truck.

"The CCTV located around the scene of the incident is also not very clear in recording the seconds of the incident. The license plate number of the truck driving the driver also looks blurry", he said.

Carmin explained that police officers were at the Bekasi District Hospital waiting for Fahmi's body to be taken by the family.
