Central Jakarta Police Chief: The Sexual Harassment And Bullying Case At KPI Must Be Processed To Complete
JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police Commissioner Hengky Haryadi said his party was still carrying out the investigation stage into cases of alleged sexual harassment and bullying of the whistleblower with the initials MS, an employee of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).
"It is still at the investigation stage, to prove that there was a criminal incident. The point is (Polres) have the same spirit as National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM)," said Hengky to VOI, Wednesday, September 22.
Currently, cases of alleged sexual harassment and bullying reported to have occurred at the KPI office are still under investigation.
According to Hengky, the investigation carried out by his party was inductive, not deductive.
"Our investigation is inductive in nature, not according to words. It means that it is not a deductive investigation. All witnesses are witnesses to the testimony de auditu or witnesses who say what they say. This means that the witness did not see and hear directly," he told reporters.

Although MS' case has been going on for a long time, the police have not given up on investigating.
"The time when the incident was reported was approximately 6 years. However, we will not give up, we will continue to seek and process this case until it is complete. Can the fingerprinting process and others be increased," he said.
Commissioner Hengky also said that later his party would carry out an objective process of case proceedings.
"Holding the case to increase the investigation, if it is true that this incident occurred, we will process it if there is evidence. It will become a suspect," he said.
