PDIP Praises Law-abiding Anies Baswedan To Attend KPK Examination
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD (Regional House of Representatives), Gembong Warsono, appreciated the arrival of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building to undergo an investigation related to the alleged corruption in the land acquisition of Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta.
"That's a form of obedience, Mr. Governor, right. We appreciate the fact that the KPK has called him obedience, he attended it as a form of obedience so that he can clarify the problems he faces", said Gembong when contacted, Tuesday, September 21.
In addition, Gembong also appreciated the arrival of the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, with the same status as Anies, namely as a witness for land corruption.
Gembong said Anies was a witness to this corruption case because he was a policymaker for a program belonging to the DKI Provincial Government. Meanwhile, Pras was investigated for being the leader who approved the budget in this regard.
"The two of them were asked for information, yes, there must be the first connection regarding budget allocation", said Gembong.
"Of course the chairman of the board knows about the approval of the budget allocation that we gave to Sarana Jaya as regional capital participation (PMD). The Governor is related to the policy on granting PMD", said Gembong.

"There are 8 questions related to the housing procurement program in Jakarta. The questions are related to the basis of the program and about the existing regulations in Jakarta", Anies told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 21.
Anies did not elaborate further on his examination. However, he said that the KPK investigators actually finished checking at around 12.30 WIB.
But because several things needed to be reviewed, Anies just left the examination room at around 15.00 WIB.
"Actually, it was already 12:30, but then it took a long time to review what was written. It was finished at 15:00 and then finished", said the former Minister of Education and Culture.
Anies admitted that everything he knew had been conveyed to investigators. Therefore, he hopes that the information can help the KPK investigate allegations of corruption committed by his former subordinate, Yoory Corneles, the former Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya.
