Arya Sinulingga, Staff Of Erick Thohir Denies The Issue Of Kimia Farma CSR Funds Being Used For Terrorism
JAKARTA - Special Staff to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Arya Sinulingga denied the issue of the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds or the state-owned company's social responsibility budget for radicalism. This follows the arrest of an employee of PT Kimia Farma Tbk, by the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror Police.
As is known, an employee of PT Kimia Farma Tbk was arrested by the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror at the National Police Headquarters for allegedly being involved in the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network. The arrests were made in North Bekasi, West Java, on September 10, 2021.
Arya confirmed that the suspect did not have access to Kimia Farma's CSR funds. This was conveyed by the management of state-owned issuers to shareholders.
"I also received information from Kimia Farma that this person cannot access CSR, so there is no such thing as CSR being used for the use of radicalism at Kimia Farma," said Arya to reporters, Tuesday, September 14.
According to Arya, all companies' CSR allocations can be monitored through a system. This means that through this system, shareholders can find out the location points for the use of the company's aid funds. He said this system was created when Erick Thohir was appointed to lead the Ministry of SOEs since 2019.
"I need to answer that there is an issue that there is a use of CSR funds for radicalization and so on. We can confirm that since Mr. Erick entered the Ministry of SOEs, currently Mr. Erick has asked us to create a system. One system for CSR, with this system we know where the distribution is CSR, where is the point of giving CSR, and for what CSR is given, so radicalization is unlikely to be broken," he said.
