Ahead Of PTM, 1,482 Students In DKI Jakarta Have Not Been Vaccinated

JAKARTA - A total of 17 thousand students in Central Jakarta has received the second dose of vaccine. According to the Head of Central Jakarta Education II Sub-Department, Uripasih, the number of students who have completed vaccination has reached 40 percent of the total 41 thousand school students in the Central Jakarta Education Sub-Department II area.

"Of the 41 thousand students who have been vaccinated against the second stage, 17 thousand have reached. Hopefully, by the end of September, all of them have been vaccinated. That's our target", she said when confirmed by VOI reporters, Friday, August 27, morning.

Until now, the vaccination process is still ongoing. Some students, he continued, had already taken the first dose of vaccination. Currently undergoing a second dose of vaccine. He hopes that this vaccine target can be realized 100 percent by the end of September 2021.

Uripasih said that of the 41 thousand students at the Central Jakarta Education Sub-Department II who received the vaccine, there were still 1,482 students who had not been vaccinated. These people have survivors, comorbidities, or certain medical conditions, making it impossible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Indeed, there are still 1,482, some of them have been exposed to COVID-19 or have just recovered, so the vaccine has been delayed by 3 months. So it is possible that soon it cannot be realized 100 percent", she said.

Previously, it was reported that DKI Jakarta would hold a limited face-to-face learning (PTM) on 30 August. Ahead of the limited PTM, the DKI Provincial Government noted that as many as 92 percent of students aged 12-17 years had been injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.
