According to Pangeran, the fast work and hard work of the police to immediately find the perpetrators is a test for the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and his staff to prove that the Indonesian Police are present to provide a sense of security and justice in taking action against perpetrators of crimes in the country.
"Moreover, this crime has befallen the press. Based on Law 40 of 1999, it is stated that in carrying out their profession, journalists need to receive legal protection," Pangeran told reporters on Monday, June 21.
The PAN politician also hopes that the police will work more professionally and transparently according to the new police tagline, namely PRESESI (predictive, responsible, transparency, and justice). As the National Police Chief once conveyed during the fit and proper test at Commission III of the DPR.
The Pangeran asked all parties to submit and entrust the resolution of the problem to the police. His party will oversee so that the resolution of the problem of shooting the media crew can be opened transparently and accountably so that public trust in the police will increase.
"We also hope that similar cases will not happen again as in the news, that the problem of violence against the press is still common," said Pangeran.
