West Sulawesi Provincial Government Awaits Central Instruction On The 2021 Homecoming Prohibition
JAKARTA - The West Sulawesi Provincial Government is awaiting instructions from the central government regarding the homecoming prohibition for Lebaran 2021 or Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah.
As reported by Antara, Friday, April 23, Assistant I for Government and People's Welfare (Pemkesra) Regional Secretariat of West Sulawesi, M. Natsir said that the Provincial Government of West Sulawesi had held a coordination meeting regarding the ban on homecoming.
He said the meeting was following up on the circular letter (SE) of the COVID-19 handling Task Force Number 13 of 2021 concerning the elimination of the Idul Fitri 1442 Hijriah homecoming and efforts to control the spread during Ramadan 1442 Hijriah, as well as Regulation of the Minister of Transportation (Permenhub) Number 13 of 2021 concerning Control of Transportation during the Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah, West Sulawesi Provincial Government together with related agencies held a meeting.
According to him, the two regulations have become public opinion and are currently discussed by various parties, because they are closely related to the human element.
So that in providing rules for the prohibition of homecoming, socialization can be carried out as soon as possible.
"The socialization needs to be carried out so that later there will be no more claims from the community so that on their homecoming trip they will not encounter obstacles by the existence of regulations that have been issued by the central government," he said.

He said it is necessary to have a common perception in providing enlightenment to the community so that they can understand the conditions of the regulation.
"The main objective of the issuance of the two regulations is simply to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in order to maintain the safety of the Indonesian people," he said.
He also conveyed that there is a need for affirmation in certain areas where land transport mobilization is mobilized in West Sulawesi.
"Then there is a fee reduction for the community for the implementation of rapid tests or antigens in doing homecoming, as well as ensuring the implementation of the inter-regency prohibition of homecoming, by considering whether it is included in the category of homecoming or returning to hometown," he said.
According to him, 85 percent of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the province comes from other districts so that the West Sulawesi Provincial Government will consider it in issuing a ban on homecoming.
He also said that the West Sulawesi Provincial Government is still waiting for official regulations at the national level, which is currently still being held in coordination meetings with governors throughout Indonesia to stipulate a ban on homecoming in the form of a government decision in West Sulawesi.
