Update On COVID-19 As Of April 18: 4.585 New Cases, 1.604.348 Accumulated Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 38.619 specimens were examined with the results of 4.585 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1.604.348 people and 105.859 active cases", he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, April 18.
Recovered cases today increased by 4.873 cases so that a total of 1.455.065 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 96 people and a total of 43.424 people.
The province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 950 cases and a total of 399.075 cases. Followed by West Java which has 769 new cases with a total of 266.887 cases. Central Java has 396 new cases and a total of 178.456 cases. Then, Riau has 330 new cases and a total of 38.883 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to Central Java with an increase of 1.358 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 969 cases recovered, West Java with an increase of 407 recovered cases, and Riau with an increase of 279 cases recovered.

There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Nusa Tenggara.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 13.815,429.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 61.694 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, 10.828.419 people have been vaccinated against the first dose of COVID-19, and 5.910.921 vaccinated against the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of priority vaccination for phase 1 and 2 reached 40.349.051 people.
