Police Arrest 10 Perpetrators Of Rape Of Disabled Female Students In East Lombok
East Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), arrested ten suspected perpetrators of rape (rudapaksa) against a female student with disabilities.
"The ten suspected perpetrators who were arrested included the initials R, R, L, A, M, M, H, R, R, S and all of them are in the detention cell of the East Lombok Police to undergo legal proceedings," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP I Made Darma Yulia Putra as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 6.
The perpetrators were arrested in different places without a fight or in their respective homes, because they had forced the victim to become pregnant.
"The perpetrators were arrested based on the confession of the main perpetrators who were followed up with the arrest of other perpetrators, on Thursday (05/12)," he said.
Darma said this case was revealed based on the suspicion of the victim's parents who saw the condition of the victim's distended stomach. To prove suspicions, the victim's parents bought a pregnancy test kit.
"And the test results turned out to be positive, and the victim's parents immediately reported them to the police, who were followed up with the investigation and investigation process," he said.

From the results of the investigation, the victim was allegedly raped by the perpetrators, so the police made arrests for further legal proceedings.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 81 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of government regulations in lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law Jo. Article 76D of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and/or Article 6 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2022.
"The perpetrators are threatened with the child protection law," he said.
