Vice President Invites Children To Gunung Agung Bookstores, Instills Read Interests Early

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka invited children from orphanages to visit the Gunung Agung Bookstore in the Kwitang area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, to coincide with the commemoration of World Children's Day on November 20, 2024.

As reported by ANTARA, this activity is an important momentum to instill an interest in reading from an early age, as part of strengthening the development of Indonesian human resources (HR).

In line with the theme of World Children's Day this year, 'Sisten to The Future', this activity underscores the importance of listening to children's voices and fighting for their rights, including the right to gain knowledge, one of which can be obtained through reading books.

In an atmosphere full of happiness, the children seemed enthusiastic about choosing reading books that attracted their attention and study equipment.

In the midst of the bustle of shops, big smiles and laughter of children create a moving view of emotion. With their respective selected books in hand, it is clear their enthusiasm to explore the world through reading.

This activity also reflects the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita Mission which focuses on developing superior human resources.

In addition to ensuring that Indonesian children receive balanced nutritional intake, the government also emphasizes the importance of building a strong literacy culture.

Books, as a window of the world, are one of the main keys to unlocking insight and enriching the future of the nation's next generation.

The commemoration of World Children's Day this time is a reminder that every child has the right to learn, dream, and excel.

In addition, in this activity the Vice President also brings the spirit of equal access, inclusiveness, and every child may have high aspirations and pursue their dreams.

Simple steps like this are expected to have a major impact in shaping a generation of intelligent, characterless, and highly competitive.
