KPK Working On The Regent Of Situbondo Today Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The PEN Fund

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the Regent of Situbondo Karna Suswandi today, Friday, November 8. He will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption in the allocation of national economic recovery funds (PEN) as well as the procurement of goods and services in the area he leads.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building on behalf of KS as the Regent of Situbondo," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters, Friday, November 8.

Apart from Karna, investigators are also scheduled to work on Eko Prionggo Jati, who is a civil servant (PNS) at the PUPR Office of Situbondo Regency. Their status is referred to as being investigated.

However, so called Tessa has not been present until now.

As for this case, Karna Suswandi has filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court (PN). He did not accept being named a suspect.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the management of national economic recovery funds (PEN) in the Situbondo Regency Government as well as the procurement of goods and services (PBJ) for 2021-2024.

Two people were named as suspects based on the information gathered. They are the Regent of Situbondo Karna Suwandi and the Head of the PUPR Service of the Situbondo Regency Government, Eko Prionggo.
