President Zelensky Asks For Tomahawk Missiles To The US, Kremlin: Kyiv Restless With Russian Progress On The Frontline

Kremlin spokesman said on Thursday the Kyiv regime was concerned about Russia's progress along the front lines of fighting, with Tomahawk's long-range missile supply demand to the United States.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters the trend on the front lines of the war, in which Russia has advanced in the past three months with the fastest speeds in two years, is clear.

"With this dynamic background, the Kyiv regime is starting to show considerable anxiety," he said.

As previously reported, The New York Times reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky had asked the United States to supply the Tomahawk missile, which has a range of 2,500 km (1,550 miles), far outperforming all of Ukraine's missiles in its current arsenal.

President Zelensky emphatically hinted in a video released on Wednesday that Kyiv had made such a request.

It said the request was part of the " winning plan" he delivered earlier this month, some of which were said to have been confidential at the time.

Peskov said Ukraine's plans, whether secret or not, "leading to Kyiv's efforts to drag Western countries completely into the war as quickly as possible and legitimize it. All of these tricks have this ultimate goal. This is how we look at it".
