Apple Officially Launches iMac with M4 Chip
JAKARTA – Apple introduced the latest iMac with the M4 chip on Monday, October 28 evening. By using the latest chipset, the iMac M4 is claimed to be 1.7 times faster than the iMac with the M1 chip.
According to Apple, this speed will be felt when users work on several tasks at once, such as opening many applications while accessing several web pages in Safari. This device can also handle heavy workloads, such as editing or gaming.
To support user workloads, the iMac M4 is designed with 16GB of integrated memory that can be configured up to 32GB. That way, the iMac can run editing applications such as Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop without lagging.
So that this new device does not lag behind other devices, Apple also added Apple Intelligence to the iMac M4. This feature utilizes the capabilities of Apple silicon and the Neural Engine so that users can be more productive in their work.
"iMac is the world's best all-in-one for AI and is built for Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system that transforms the way people work, communicate, and express themselves, while protecting their privacy," said Apple via its official website.

Apple Intelligence will be available in December with features such as Image Playground, Genmoji, and Writing Tools. A more sophisticated Siri with ChatGPT integration will also be launched along with other Artificial Intelligence (AI) features.
"Users can access ChatGPT for free without creating an account, and privacy protections are built in — their IP addresses are masked and OpenAI will not store requests," Apple explained.
In addition to presenting AI-based features, Apple Intelligence is also designed to strengthen the privacy of its users. The company provides Private Cloud Compute to access server-based models that offer protection for personal information.
