PT Timah Targets Production Of 34 Thousand Tons Of Metal And Sales Of 31 Thousand Tons In 2021

JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk (TINS) is targeting tin ore production to reach 30 thousand tons this year, while metal is 34 thousand tons. Meanwhile, metal sales in 2021 are targeted to reach 31 thousand tons.

"However, it is minimal. We are trying to achieve higher realization", said Director of Finance and Risk Management of Tin, Wibisono in a press conference, Tuesday, April 6.

Wibisono said, to achieve this target, the company will increase marine mining production. So far, the percentage of marine mining production is still around 30 percent, while land mines have reached 70 percent.

"We want to encourage the contribution of the sea to increase by 10 percent. With this effort for mining in the sea while still paying attention to the environment. Previously, we will coordinate the socialization in our operational areas. So that from the minimum of 30 thousand, it will increase from that target", he said.

On the same occasion, the Director of Business Development Alwin Albar said that the exploration activities would be carried out, one of which was in the Bangka Belitung area.

"Exploration activities will continue to be carried out in Bangka Belitung and Riau areas. We have a new process there", said Alwin.

In addition, he said, mining efforts will also continue in the same places as the previous year.

"We continue on the regional basis, and we are trying to utilize for the first production of the Natural resources which has become a reserve. We are still continuing from last year, so that it can be monetized", he explained.
