Kejari Requests AGO's Support For The Attorney General's Office, Suherman, DPO For The Corruption Case Of The Mount Tunak Project

The Central Lombok District Attorney (Kejari) has asked for the support of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) to find the whereabouts of a suspect in the corruption case of a road project to the Mount Tunak Nature Tourism Park (TWA) which is included in the wanted list (DPO) named Suherman.

"So, for the search for this DPO, we ask for support for a search to the AGO through the NTB Prosecutor's Office," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Central Lombok Kejari I Made Juri Imanu by telephone, Friday, October 25, confiscated by Antara.

This search support request is considering that the AGO has a fairly sophisticated tracking device in finding someone's whereabouts.

"The AGO can determine the coordinates (of the existence of a DPO). So, at the AGO there is an adhiyaksa monitoring center unit named," he said.

In an effort to search for Suherman, the jury said that his party in the area also coordinated with the NTB Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur).

"Hopefully with our efforts, the DPO can be found soon," he said.

"The person concerned has been summoned three times, but was not present to fulfill the summons of the investigation team. Therefore, the DPO status was issued," he said.

The jury stated that the issuance of DPO status for the suspect Suherman was in accordance with case handling procedures. In fact, the forced pick-up effort has also been carried out previously with the suspect's results not at his home.

Previously, the Central Lombok Kejari Investigation Team on Monday, October 7, armed with an arrest warrant from the Head of the Central Lombok Kejari, attempted to forcefully pick up Suherman at his home, Ampenan, Mataram City.

However, the person concerned is not on the spot. Suherman's wife admitted that her husband had not returned home since the court judge rejected the pretrial lawsuit in the case. There are allegations that Suherman is already outside the area.

Furthermore, the jury asked for public support. If he gets information about Suherman's whereabouts, he hopes to immediately report it to law enforcement officials.

In handling this case, the Central Lombok Kejari has pocketed the results of an audit of the calculation of state financial losses (PKKN) from the NTB Inspectorate with a value of Rp333 million. Based on the audit results, the value of the loss arises from a lack of work.

In connection with this case, the Central Lombok Kejari has been recorded as having faced a pretrial lawsuit from three applicants who previously became suspects with the initials MNR, supervisory consultant, Director of PT Indomine Utama as project implementer with the initials FS, and Suherman who is a project commitment-making official (PPK).

The sole pretrial judge at the Praya District Court in a decision dated July 6, 2023 stated that the series of investigative actions by the respondent (Kejari Lombok Tengah) against the applicant was invalid.

Despite losing the pretrial lawsuit, the prosecutor's office continues to investigate using a new investigation warrant.

The Central Lombok Kejari carried out this by referring to Article 2 paragraph (3) of the Regulation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2016 which regulates that pretrial decisions do not invalidate the subject matter.

After conducting a re-investigation, Suherman, who is now a suspect again, filed a pretrial lawsuit. The pretrial judge at the Central Lombok District Court in a decision, Tuesday, October 10, rejected Suherman's pretrial lawsuit.

The road project to Mount Tunak TWA was built in 2017. The construction was carried out through the budget of the NTB PUPR Service worth IDR 3 billion.

However, the road collapsed after a temporary handover of work from implementing partners from PT Indomine Utama to the government.

The damaged road condition is estimated to be 1 kilometer long. Based on these findings, the prosecutor conducted an investigation by finding indications of a lack of specifications and work volume in accordance with the results of the examination by construction experts from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The prosecutor in the previous investigation also collaborated with an auditist from a public accountant by referring to the results of the construction expert's examination.
