Shares Of Bank Mayapada, A Company Owned By Conglomerate Dato Tahir Is Being 'Stared At' By The Stock Exchange Because It Keeps Dropping

JAKARTA - Indonesia Stock Exchange informed that there had been a movement of share prices that were out of the ordinary (Unusual Market Activity) on shares of PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk. The banking company coded MAYA, its share price has been plummeting in the last few days.

The UMA announcement does not necessarily indicate a violation of the laws and regulations in the capital market. The latest information regarding a listed company is information on April 1, 2021, published through the Exchange website regarding reports of ownership or any changes in share ownership of a public company, submission of advertisement evidence of GMS notifications, and GMS announcements.

"In connection with the Unusual Market Activity on MAYA's shares, we need to convey that the Exchange is currently monitoring the development of this stock transaction pattern", wrote the Exchange in the UMA announcement, Monday, April 5.

The IDX asks investors to pay attention to the answers of listed companies to the Exchange's request for confirmation, to pay close attention to their performance and disclosure of information. Next, review the corporate action plan of the listed company if the plan has not been approved by the GMS.

Investors are also expected to consider various possibilities that may arise at a later date before making investment decisions.

Today, Bank Mayapada shares ended falling 6.61 percent or 160 points to the level of IDR 2.260 per share. At the close of last Thursday, April 1, MAYA's shares closed at the level of IDR 2.420 or fell 6.92 percent from the previous closing position.

Additional information, this bank owned by conglomerate Dato Tahir will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS) on May 10, 2021, at the Mayapada Tower 2 Building, Jakarta. However, the agenda for this meeting has not been described in more detail.

Liang Xian entered Bank Mayapada through the XIII limited public offering, or rights issue. Lian Xian bought 1.466.033.913 shares of Bank Mayapada at a price of IDR 400 per share. Liang Xian allocated IDR 596.41 billion in funds to purchase the MAYA shares.

Bank Mayapada President Director Hariyono Tjahjarijadi said the transaction was carried out on March 24, 2021. The purpose of buying the shares was for investment.

Until now, it is still unknown about the current ownership structure of Bank Mayapada's shareholders.
