The Palembang City Police (Polrestabes) closed Jalan Sudirman during the defense equipment exhibition celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the TNI on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

He explained that drivers who would pass on Jalan Sudirman to Charitas Hospital were diverted to Jl M Ari next to Moh Hussein General Hospital. Then from the direction of Charitas will be diverted to Jalan Captain Arivai Palembang.

According to him, the defense equipment parade and TNI personnel were carried out one kilometer long on Jalan Sudirman. Therefore, the police together with a joint team of 800 personnel were deployed to guard the activity.

"We have also been doing rehearsals since yesterday, a dirty rehearsal and today a rehearsal is clean by closing the road for about 45 minutes and going smoothly," he said.

He appealed to residents to find other alternative ways to avoid congestion.
