Russian Fighter Jets Hazardous 'Pantati' US F-16 In The Sky Of Alaska

JAKARTA - Russian fighter jets turn their back and then dive through the F-16 jet belonging to the United States (US) in the sky of Alaska.

Citing AP, Tuesday October 1, the dangerous maneuver of the Russian jet after surprisingly flying in the Alaskan sky followed by the F-16 which was sent to intercept it.

North American Aerospace Defense Command or NORAD released footage of the interaction of the Russian fighter jet, which entered the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone just outside the airspace of US sovereignty on September 23.

The military interaction drew criticism from high-ranking NORAD officers and one of the US senators from Alaska.

NORAD said, despite interactions in the air near its territory, US military aircraft responded by intercepting Russian fighter jets with security and order discipline.

The Russian ambassador in the US has not yet responded to the incident.

The incident comes just weeks after eight Russian military aircraft and four of its naval vessels, including two submarines, approached Alaska as China and Russia conduct joint exercises.

None of the Russian military aircraft violated US airspace. However, 130 US troops equipped with mobile rocket launchers were delivered to Shemya Island, approaching the joint Chinese-Russian training site.

They were deployed to Aleut Island for a week, before finally being returned to their military base.
