Hybrid Theory: Music Album That Introduces Linkin Park Around The World

JAKARTA - Linkin Park is a blessing. At least that's what Mike Shinoda (vocals, guitars), Brad Delson (guitar), Rob Bourdon (drums), Joe Hahn (Dj), Dave Farrell (bass), and Chester Bennington (vocals) expect.

They try to introduce their music to the Nu Metal genre everywhere. Pucuk in love with ulam arrives. Their struggle for work to be realized. Hybrid Theory's music album is proof of his struggle. An album that makes Linkin Park the world's top and famous band.

The life of school life is a time full of exploration. Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson agreed. The two of them were looking for an identity as musicians. They listen to a lot of songs and try to play them.

The decision to make a band emerged in 1996. The two of them took Rob Bourdon, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, and Mark Wakefileld as vocalists. The band was later named Xero.

Problems arise. Mark Wakefield was unable to continue music with Xero. This condition made Chester Bennington a substitute vocalist as well as the last piece of the platform to complete the band. Every day they improved their musical skills. Moreover, they tried to combine two rock and rap music genres: Nu Metal.

They made a lot of songs on their own. Their works began to be distributed to well-known labels. Later they didn't really use the name Xero. They tried to replace it with Hybrid Theory.

They struggle to get a contract from the label. Rejection is certainly the most often accepted. Linkin Park finally matched with Warner Bros Record in 1999. The process did not escape the problem. Just like the case of Xero's name, Hybrid's name is the source of new problems.

Khalayak already knew a lot of bands called Hybrid first. As a result, Chester Bennington took a role. He chose to replace the name Hybrid Theory to Lincoln Park. Inspiration comes from a park in New York.

The name then became Linkin Park as Chester tried to align to have a domain for his band site. At its peak, Linkin Park managed to release its first album Hybrid Theory in 2000.

'Flight is never a priority. However, it happened. At first, we would put the entire group member in the photo album. If the photographer decides, the photo will only feature Chester, or me and Chester.'

"However, we want people to know that this band is all of us, not just the vocalists in front of but changed to visual artwork images. Linkin Park, which is famous or respected, is a blessing, but do I want this band to be successful without being recognized? Maybe," said Mike Shinoda as quoted byatury Gibsone in his writing on The Guardian website entitledMike Shinode Looks Back (2024).

Hybrid Theory's presence received a positive response. The album contains 11 songs, the majority of which tell stories about failures to break promises. At first, this condition was considered out of Hiphop culture with rap music which usually voiced serious matters.

However, Linkin Park has its own appeal. Most people are actually associated with combined rap and rock music. The band has two mainstay vocalists. Chester as a representation of rop and Mike Shinoda as a representation of rap music.

The combination is considered by many foreign media like seeing a combination of rap singer Jay-z and rock band Jane's Addiction. In particular, Mike Shinode's position was underestimated because he was white. This view is because rap music is usually popular with black people. They are white people rarely succeed in becoming rap singers.

Mike Shinoda also silenced everything. Those who first heard of Linkin Park immediately fell in love with Papercut, Crawling, One Step Closer, to In the End.

This condition made Linkin Park's music album sales, Hybrid Theory skyrocket. The album reached sales of 14 million copies and became the best-selling album in 2001. They also toured their world. Linkin Park personnel went from one city to another for 18 months.

The tour is also the way for them to prepare their second album, Meteora (2003). An album that further confirms the existence of Linkin Park in the Nu Metal genre in the world.

''Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's debut album, became the country's best-selling album last year. The album consists of 11 songs about failed relationships and broken promises. The songs have a quiet verse, decorated with Brad Delson's guitar part like a spider.'

Then a hard chorus when Delson's guitar disappeared in the midst of a frenzy. Joe Hahn maintains a balance with a textured Dj game that mainly serves to remind viewers that there is a DJ on stage," said Kelefa Sanneh in Aery of Total Anguish with a Punch in the Head (2002).
