Talking In Person With Gibran, Secretary General Gerindra Denies Support To DKI Jakarta
SOLO - Gerindra Party Secretary-General, Ahmad Muzani denied discussing the matter of support for Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka to run as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta.
This was revealed by Ahmad Muzani after meeting with Gibran at the Loji Gandrung Official House, Solo City, on Sunday, March 28.
"Still in 2024, he was just appointed in February," said Ahmad Muzani to reporters, Sunday, March 28.
Muzani said that the meeting with Gibran only discussed the steps in the leadership of President Joko Widodo's eldest son. This is because the Gerindra Party is the party that carries Gibran as the mayor of Solo.
"I think it is in our interest that he should be a good successful mayor and so on, so that Solo becomes a developed and a good city," he said.

Likewise, Gibran also said that there was no discussion regarding his support to become the Governor of DKI Jakarta. During the meeting, he only reported on the handling of COVID-19 in the city of Solo.
"Yes, there are several, yes, I reported that Solo has been speeding up the vaccination, it is a green zone, the children are ready for school. Yes, I just ask for your support," he said.
