PLN: The Electricity In The Jakarta Area Is 100 Percent Normal

JAKARTA - A number of areas in DKI Jakarta and Bekasi have experienced blackouts. PT PLN (Persero) confirmed the blackout.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Doddy B Pangaribuan, said that the blackout that occurred in parts of the Jakarta-Bekasi area was due to disruption in the transmission side of the Bekasi-Priok Sub-System.

However, said Doddy, at this time his condition had completely returned to normal at 10.12 a.m. local time. The areas that were last lit were Mill dsk, Pondok Kopi dsk, Cakung dsk, Rorotan dsk, Sukapura dsk.

Since the start of the disturbance this morning, according to Doddy, PLN has immediately made efforts to maneuver the network to anticipate the widespread impact of the disruption.

"Thank you for the understanding and cooperation of customers. We have made normalization efforts gradually and we inform you that currently, the electricity in the DKI Jakarta area is 100 percent normal", he said in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, March 27.
