Free Nutrition Eating Program Starting February 2, 2025

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana said the target for the implementation of the Free Nutrition Program for groups that need to start starting February 2, 2025 in Indonesia.

Dadan, at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, said that the implementation of Prabowo Subianto's elected presidential program was rolled out after his party received the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) in December 2024.

"As soon as possible. The target is if everything goes smoothly, then we want December we will receive DIPA and January 2, the Free Nutrition Eating program is implemented," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 20.

Regarding the program distribution scheme, Dadan stated that the directives from President Jokowi and Prabowo would determine this matter.

President Jokowi, according to Dadan, wants this program not only to be limited to school children but also to cover a broader culture of healthy living.

"He wants the nutrition body not only to carry out a free nutritious eating program for school children, but more broadly than that, especially the culture of living a healthy life," he said.

"For example, kelor leaves will be introduced to children as part of efforts to increase nutritional knowledge," said Dadan.

In addition, the program will be implemented through service units in each region, with details of the budget to be submitted further by the President.

"This is a national agency, later there will be service units in each region," he said.
