Israel Remains Gaza Bombarding, Discussion Of Ceasefire In Qatar Extended By 1 Day
JAKARTA - Negotiations of the ceasefire in Gaza that have taken place in Doha, Qatar were extended by one day until Friday, August 16 local time.
In an intense effort by negotiators to negotiate a ceasefire, Israel continued to carry out military attacks on the Gaza region.
"This is an important job. The remaining obstacles can be overcome, and we must end this process," US national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters at the White House.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to launch its attack on Gaza. Gaza health officials said at least six Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting homes in Greater Jakarta, northern Gaza on Thursday 15 August evening.
Earlier, Israeli forces attacked targets in southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis.
In a statement late Thursday on Telegram, member of politburo Hamas Hossam Badran said Israel's continued military operation amid ceasefire negotiations was an obstacle to the progress of the negotiations.
