Vice President Asks To Improve Health Services: If The Tool Is Easy, The Doctor Is Less

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked for health services for the community to continue to be improved by providing medical equipment and also optimizing health workers.

"The future service requires us more. The demands of the community are getting higher day by day. Even now the patient is getting more critical," said the Vice President in his remarks when receiving medical personnel, role model health workers, and 2024 outstanding cadres at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, August 15, confiscated by Antara.

"Maybe he asked for this, he asked for it, that's usually the case. Instead, he taught doctors sometimes. The doctor was taught, like he was smarter than a doctor," continued the vice president.

Moreover, said the Vice President, in 2024, the participation of the National Health Insurance-Healthy Indonesian Cards (JKN-KIS) has reached 98 percent. However, the Vice President also reminded that health services must also be improved.

"So, we must be able to provide more services. Especially now that we are considered successful in organizing JKN, our National Health Insurance has reached 98 percent and received awards from international institutions. So, we are considered successful. So, if it's only 100 percent left, it's only 2 percent," said the Vice President.

For this reason, the Vice President also asked the Ministry of Health to provide medical equipment to the regions.

"That's an extraordinary achievement. Well, the next consequence of the service will be. This is the Minister of Health who has prepared the tools. All will get to the regions later. This year, many tools will be given to the regions," said the Vice President.

In addition, the Vice President also requested that health workers work even more optimally in serving the community.

The vice president also asked for the role of the Puskesmas to continue to be optimized, not only as a place for treatment, but also in efforts to prevent and control disease.

"If the equipment is easy, it's already there. What's lacking is the doctor, Print a doctor, it can't be 1-2 years. Now later these health workers will have to work more optimally in serving. That, I think future demands are services and we hope that especially the Puskesmas as well. That's apart from treating us, but also what is the term, prevent it," said the Vice President.
