Police Are Looking For Other Victims In The Case Of Teachers Doing Immorality To Male Students In Garut
GARUT - Police are investigating the case of an elementary school teacher (SD) suspected of committing immoral acts against male students in Peundeuy District, Garut Regency, West Java (West Java).
"We are involving related agencies so that we can dig up victims from the suspect, is there really another victim," said Head of the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ari Rinaldo to reporters in Garut, Thursday, August 15, confiscated by Antara.
He said that the suspect, a man with the initials OM (38) who works as an elementary school teacher with the status of a government employee with a work agreement (PPPK), a resident of Peundeuy District, Garut, was arrested after the victim reported his actions.
He said the suspect was reported to be the victim on July 25, 2024, then the police investigated the suspect, and the victim.
"Yesterday we examined the victim or the suspect, as well as the witnesses," he said.
The results of the interim examination, said Ari, were that the suspect carried out the action by opening tutoring or additional computer lessons for students at his home.
His actions, he said, were carried out at his house, the victim of his actions was then given money by the suspect amounting to Rp. 20,000 and asked not to tell other people.
"This was done at the suspect's house, apart from the teacher, he also opened tutoring at his house for students who want to study computers," he said.

He revealed that the results of the investigator's examination showed that 10 people were victims, but only eight people wanted to be questioned.
The police, he said, are still examining the suspect and his mental condition, because they are worried that other victims will have to pay attention to the recovery of their victims' mental condition.
"We want to explore whether there are other victims who have not been registered or who have not been mentioned by the suspect," he said.
He added that the reason the police wanted to reveal all of their victims was that the local government and the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) could restore their mental condition.
"So that we know whether the victim is like this or there are other victims, considering what happened from 2021 to 2024," he said.
