Russian Attacks Hit Infrastructure Of Badminton, 24 Drones Shot Down In Ukraine

JAKARTA - Russian drone attacks damage important infrastructure in central Ukraine's Notch region.

The Ukrainian air force said it shot down 24 of the 29 Russian-launched Shahed-type drones in Friday, August 2 evening attacks in nine regions.

As reported by Reuters, Russian troops also launched two S-300 anti-aircraft missiles and two Kh-31 missiles.

Kherson region governor Oleksander Prokudin said air defense personnel shot down five drones in his area on Saturday, August 3.

Russian attacks on the region in recent days hit critical infrastructure, administrative buildings, and nine residential houses.

Meanwhile, Mykolaiv regional governor Vitaliy Kim said one of the drones shot down by air defenses caused a fire in buildings, which was later extinguished. No casualties were reported.

Earlier this week, Ukraine said it managed to fend off one of Russia's largest long-range drone attacks since February 2022, shooting down all 89 drones including a number of'significant' baits trying to drain Ukraine's air defenses.
