Israelis Asked To Prepare For Shelter Amid Retaliation Threats, Basic Materials In Supermarkets Purchased

The city government of Jerusalem issued instructions to the public about what to do if the city is attacked by distributing documents containing a list of parking lots that will be used as shelters and a list of bomb shelters. It said residents should be able to reach the bomb shelter within 90 seconds.
"Residents are advised to clean and prepare their bomb shelters first," the document said.

Residents are also advised to provide enough water and food for three days and buy batteries and flashlights other than medicine.

Previously, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran's "task" to avenge the death of political leader Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. According to the New York Times, citing information provided by three Iranian officials, Khamenei issued an order for Iran to attack Israel directly after the assassination.
Israel does not justify or deny their role in Haniyeh's death.
