Helicopter Propellers Stuck In Kites At GWK Bali
DENPASAR - The helicopter incident was hit by a kite rope again in Bali. This time it hit the Robinson R66 helicopter with registration number PK-VP.
Head of Regional Airport Authority IV Agustinus Budi Hartono said the helicopter incident caught in a rope occurred at 09.46 WITA in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) area, South Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.
"Airplane of the Robinson R66 helicopter with registration number PK-VPN operated by PT. Volta Pacific Aviasi experienced a kite strike in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) area 29," he said, Monday, July 29.
The Robinson R66 helicopter operated by PT. Volta Pacific Aviasi was piloted by a captain named Adhi Tri Budiono with two passengers on the JAG Heliport-Nusa Dua-GWK-Uluwatu-JAG Heliport route.
"All the crew of the helicopter and passengers are safe. According to the information obtained, the helicopter was hit by a kite in the area around Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) at an altitude of approximately 900 feet. After landing, the engineer carried out inspections on the rotor and tail rotor with no damage (satisfactory)," he explained.
